Nate thinks we need a new mattress . . . any suggestions? I’m a major cheapie in this area and I think this is going to be expensive.

Donald B Think my king mattress and boxsprings cost like 500 or so. I was affected by sticker shock pretty good when I saw it, but then I laid down in it when it got home and it felt worthwhile.

Tiffany AndChristopher W I’m cheap too, so I found a cheap mattress and box springs for like $300, but already I’m not pleased with it and it’s only been a little over 2 years. I realize it would have been worth it to suck it up and spend a little more on a better one. Some claim that mattresses are an important “investment” and you need to get a good one that will last. I personally just have a hard time spending lots of money.
Katy L I freak out about the money but if I don’t get good sleep nothing goes well, chronic bad sleep isn’t worth wing cheap on a mattress. We spent a pretty penny 4 years ago and I wouldn’t have spent a penny less. Sleep is valuable and helps your body refuel!

Kirsti S We spent a lot on our bed 4 years ago. A lot more than the $500 some people have mentioned. I do think it’s a good investment, though. Every time I sleep on a bed that isn’t as comfortable, I find myself so glad once again that we got something we love.
