Ben is 2!

We took Ben to the doctor for his 2 year appt last week. He’s 75th percentile across the board. Doctor wasn’t concerned about anything. Ben is very meticulous and loves to line up his cars or trains. He is really enjoying building the tracks and he also likes little action figures / people / barbies. 🙂 He knows tons of words but doesn’t say very much. He prefers to let his big sister speak for him.

Hannah is doing really well with preschool. She knows all the letters and their sounds. I think she is almost ready to start reading. She took a tumbling class this semester that she really enjoyed. Starting in January, I should be able to find a class for Hannah and Ben to take together. I think they will enjoy that a lot.

They are both doing lots of crafts and are very active. We go to the park almost every day. They also love to dress up (see attached pic of Ben the b-ball player.) We currently have two foster girls, a 5 yo and a 4yo. They are a handful but we’re starting to get things into a bit of a schedule. We’re currently enjoying a Thanksgiving week with Gram and PawPaw, we’re planning on taking all the kids to Disney in early Dec, and will be flying to MN to see my (Becca’s) grandpa and extended family for Christmas. Hope they are ready for a couple extra kiddos! 🙂

I started my new position at Orbital last Monday and am just now getting done with all my required trainings so I can start focusing on my project. Sounds like they need me to hit the ground running, we have a Preliminary Design Review coming up either in late Dec or early Jan. The best part about my new job is that it only takes me 5 min to get home! Helps a lot since the girls can’t go to school until 8:30. I go in to work, then come back to take them in, and then go back to work again.

Nate’s been working hard, spends time with the kids, has been doing some song leading at church, and is leading our current small group through the Truth Project.
