We’ve finished our stories from North and South America and moved into Europe this week. I think we’ll have a few weeks in Europe as there are so many countries with rich folktales to read. Hannah has memorized the continent song and I have a video of her singing it. Just have to get it onto my comp. 🙂 She doesn’t even like to have me sing it with her anymore, she wants to do it herself.
We’re re-reading the science and social studies books from the core.
We’re continuing with some worksheets from the DEL (Developing the Early Learner) books and other workbooks I had been given as well as doing some addition and subtraction work for math. I’m pretty sure we’re not going to last until Feb for either of these areas, so I might have to start up the LA1 again so we at least have some handwriting and creative writing assignments to do.
Hannah is reading really well. She pulled out the Kinder readers and re-read them to me or Benjamin or our babysitter. I’m pretty sure they are memorized now. She has lost a little bit of interest in the set of readers I’m trying to use to hold out on LA1, but I think we just need to get past the one we’re in since it doesn’t have butterflies and princesses. 😉
I got Hannah some mosaic crafts for this week (which she already finished) and at the end of the month she will start a new art class through Gilbert Rec. Here’s the link to other crafty stuff she’s done lately – crafts.
