In science last week, we did some experiments with dough. First we made a craft dough and both of the kids made some creations. They weren’t very good at thinking three dimensional and most of the ‘sculptures’ didn’t turn out great. We used some of our playdoh things, but we were still pretty 2 dimensional like cookies. Daddy tried to help and little bit and after we baked them, they painted them. And painting is always fun!
You might be able to pick out some strawberries, bears, bananas, a doll. But then again, you might not be able to!
Next, we got to make an edible dough and watch yeast at work. Here is an observation of yeast consuming sugar and producing carbon dioxide.
Then Hannah got tired of having her hands all sticky from the dough and I had to help her finish off the rolls. But they turned out ok. Next time, we’ll use a family dough recipe, they didn’t taste all that great.
The whole set of pictures is here . . . dough.
cute, I’ll take the one that looks like a lemon bar!
I think that was supposed to be a slice of bread. They are spread around my house currently. I’ll see if I can salvage it. 😉
lol!
