Nate’s been complaining that he hasn’t gotten to ‘do California’ very much since he of course is working when myself and the kids are usually out. So, since he was off on Monday, he got to pick our destination and we went to see what LA might look like if there wasn’t a big city here. 😉 We hiked in Temescal Park, very close to the coast, but it was pretty hazy so the view wasn’t great. And we were also surrounded by houses. 🙁 There was a ‘waterfall’ but it was mostly a little trickle.
The kids were troopers. A few sets of adults passed us on the way up and we saw them again coming back down (they didn’t go to the top) and a few others commented on how the kids were doing so well. They did walk most of the hike, but got a few rests and rides as well. It took us about 2 1/2 hours.
