Half a year! Wow. . .
Joel has been on a feeding frenzy the last couple of days. He chows down on anything we give him.
He weighed in a 20 lbs 12 oz and 29 inches long. Over 98th percentile for height and 75th for weight. The doctor chuckled as he said that the numbers show that Joel is somewhat skinny for his height. . . hehe.
I walked in a couple nights ago to find him sitting in his crib when he woke up. We had moved it down to the lowest level when he started trying to pull up on things, so it was good timing. He is starting to scoot/crawl around. He would rather stand up, but is still just too wobbly for real walking. But he does like the toys that he can stand in.
We are so blessed to have such a happy baby. He loves to play with and laugh at his siblings and be wherever they are. He really only cries when he is hungry, but we did have his first fit this month. I guess it was only a matter of time before his stubborn/willful side came out. He was hot and really didn’t want to be in the carrier, so he let me know by kicking and thrashing and hitting and crying. I guess it is a good thing that he’s communicating! He does makes some sounds and coos, but definitely doesn’t ‘talk’ as much has Hannah did. He is content to watch and study things (and stick them in his mouth).
He tries to chew on anything he can. Seems like we ought to be seeing some teeth soon, but haven’t felt any yet.
This month’s pictures are here.
