10 years ago at 10:25 am we finally coaxed Hannah into ‘the outside’ and she let us know how she felt about that for quite some time (it felt like 4 hours, see photo below). And thus we began our hands-on portion of this thing called parenting that we had read so much about.
We’re thankful that Hannah is such a good sport about getting to be our guinea pig. We’ve make some good decisions, messed some things up, and tried things out on her, and will continue to do so since we’ve never had a 10 year old before. Ahh!
In 10 years, we have learned a few important things:
– We’ve learned that even if you love long hair and want to grow up to be Rapunzel, you will still be tempted to cut if off if you find scissors lying around (twice).
– We’ve learned that the creative side is just as important than the logical side. Who knew?
– We’ve learned that sometimes you cry and you don’t know why and that’s ok.
– We’ve learned that you can be kind and beautiful at the same time.
– And we’ve learned that children are amazing!
Mommy and Daddy love you Hannah Beth and are excited to continue this journey with you into your next decade. <3
