Lacey W It’ll be too distracting to worry about keeping it from flying up while you’re trying to play.
Lacey W Shorts underneath are a valid solution to this, though, assuming the skirt isn’t too long or tight.
Ashley M If its a long dress you can’t move fast enough without legs getting wrapped in the skirt
Vanessa W Range of motion is my biggest concern next to keeping the dress down. I can’t move as freely in a dress, legs or arms. Even with shorts underneath, the motion isn’t the same. PLUS if you wanna get super scientific, the extra fabric of a dress is a bit of a slow-down itself. That’s why professionals normally wear spandex and fitted shirts: It’s more aerodynamic. (Did I spell that right?)
Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring Two edged sword as I don’t want her going in spandex either. 😉
Vanessa W That’s super fair, and I don’t blame you!! However, a good pair of exercise shorts (not too short, obviously, and not made of denim) could be a good alternative.
Debra A You can’t dig inside 🏐 or outside 👷♂️ in a dress
Amy M Because I said so!
Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring That is what I essentially came up with, “Just go change!”
Taylor S Face planting hurts. Also, modesty?
Mathew R All professional jobs require a dress to be three finger lengths below the knee cap. This is just not feasible for volleyball. Since volleyball is a profession, and long dresses won’t work for volleyball, i suggest dresses can be any length at any profession. Yay for short dresses!
Ashley M Unless you buy her a tennis skirt? That would be cute and designed for movement
Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring Actually she would probably love that. We did go shopping for some more athletic shorts. Hopefully that will help.
Laura W Back when I was in better shape and more seriously running, I had an athletic skort that was great. Allowed for movement without tangling and provided appropriate coverage. It was almost like the kind tennis players wear. Can’t remember what the brand was though.
Rebecca Diltz Nate Moehring I think those would be acceptable, however, that is not the form of dress she was wearing. 🙂
