Treehouse and Erie Canal

Lisa told us about a six-story treehouse at the nature center so we thought we should check that out. We had to take Nate to the airport that evening so we brought cupcakes along to celebrate the July birthdays before he left. We saw the treehouse and some animals and went on a short adventure trail. Moehrings headed out for lunch at Friendly’s and then to Syracuse. Hannah had studied the Erie Canal in school last year so we knew we wanted to go see that when we planned our trip to NY. There is a museum there where an old weighing point used to be on the canal. It was a great little museum. The old part of the canal in the middle of town was filled in when it was widened, so we had to drive a little to see part of the old canal and an aqueduct. Then we dropped off daddy and headed back to Lisa’s. 🙁
