We had an amazing time last week. Nate and his work buddy, his wife also homeschools, both needed to go on travel to LA so we ALL decided to tag along. We stayed at the same hotel and the kids enjoyed having playmates all week long. We also had three birthdays between the two families so we ate a lot of cake. It was Joel’s first flight that he remembers and he even got to sit in the captains chair! We met up with our friends from when we lived there for playtime and catching up. We also went to Knott’s Berry Farm, the Natural History Museum, the beach, Lego Land, swam in the pool, and explored some tidepools. The dads got most of their work done and were even able to join us for the theme parks. Overall, a great time and maybe the beginning of a new tradition – the friendcation.
