I dropped the kids off at a friend’s house so they wouldn’t have to sit in the car any more and met Mom halfway to trade Dad. 
We decided to try the pie at the Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. Pretty good!
Just one last two hour leg of the drive and I was back home and we had a normal date night evening (our turn to have the kids).
