Wednesday was a full day at the Rescue Project. CFCI rents a house in a very poor neighborhood and provides a food ministry twice a week to the children of about fifteen families in the area.
We went early in the morning to start preparing lunch.
Those of us without culinary tendencies helped organize the toy room or played with the kids that came early.
After lunch we took the whole group to a nearby park (it was pretty run down but the kids had fun). One group of kids played on the slide the entire time and the rest played soccer.
It started to sprinkle so we brought the kids that remained back for our Jonah skit and games. One girl played her violin for us. We had a lot of fun!
