Donald D Awesome!
Bill N Beth C Nicely done! Did you write the articles? You got the date format right in the first article. They always do day, month, year.
Rebecca sorry just replying to this but yes she wrote them after some research
Hannah M Yes, everything is based off of real places, people, etc. I also kept the dates, temperatures, and names of things the way they would do it in England, not America. For example, in the soccer article, I wrote it as football.
In the train wreck article, I just looked up popular names from England 1885 and mixed some random ones together.
But everything else -the Duke, Carl Benz, the soccer teams, players, and stadiums; Edouard de Leboulaye, the authors and their books, the murder- are real people from that time and place.
For the crossword, I looked up a crossword making website. I got to write my own hints and answers, but it made the puzzle for me.
It was definitely A LOT of searching through Google, and I also found out that I don’t like using Google Docs for newspapers. 🤣 But it was a lot of fun!
Tanya S I found using ICON and Cornell.edu at MCC Library was pretty neat to find newspaper article research. Very fun to learn and search things.
Tanya S I read your paper and looks and sounds like you are taking your time and being extremely thorough. Good job, Hannah!
