Benjamin finished up 8th grade in the middle of May. I’m just catching up on the reporting.
For bible, Benjamin is still following along with our church as we read the bible this year. He also had school memory work each week. Benjamin finished What’s So Amazing about Grace? for his theology book this unit. He attended youth group and we had morning devotions as a family.
In history/social studies, he finished Einstein Adds a New Dimension and Evolution 2.0. He finished out his timeline and current events assignments. His read alouds were The Mozart Season, and Soar.
For readers, Benjamin finished The Teacher’s Funeral, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, and Enchantress from the Stars. He also had National Geographic Book of Nature Poetry for some poetry selections each week.
Math was Math U See Algebra I and Benjamin finished strong.
Language Arts consisted of Sequential Spelling 5 for spelling, Classical Roots A for Latin, and Wordly Wise Book 8 for vocabulary.
Science was built into his reading and history, but he still had an experiment each week.
Since we got this unit done fairly quickly, there aren’t a lot of extras to list. Benjamin often helps Hannah babysit and he got to attend high school open gym for basketball. He was able to go with Nate to a men’s conference at the district this year and hang with some other teens. We all attended Ginny’s elementary track meet, cousin Rhiley’s softball playoffs, cousin Audrey’s college graduation, and visited the Diltzs for Mother’s Day. Grandpa taught everyone how to chop wood.
Roberta N ok!
