Last 6 Weeks of Core 200

Hannah helped us all finish in May for the first time ever. She did well in her dual credit classes and ended with all A’s.

For bible, Hannah finished The Westminster Shorter Catechism. She also finished her theology book The Jesus I Never Knew. She had some verses to memorize each week. Hannah is still participating in our church daily reading plan with Bible Project.

Math was Math U See Geometry. She ended up doing well in this class and is prepped to take her dual credit Algebra this summer.

Her spines for history were The Story of Christianity, The 100 Most Important Events in Christian History, and From Jerusalem to Irian Jaya. We finished filling in her timeline book and weekly current events assignments.

I think she enjoyed English Literature though it probably stretched her a little. This unit she read The Shining Company, What Hearts, Robinson Crusoe, and The Wise Woman and Other Stories.  She read from A Child’s Anthology of Poetry for poetry selections each week. She did very well with her creative assignments. She finished up her Vocabulary from Classic Roots with book B, Analogies 2, and Sequential Spelling with book 7

Science was Apologia Biology. She enjoyed it overall but didn’t like dissecting.

Hannah was enrolled in Business Computer Applications and Art Appreciation for dual credit this semester. Along with Algebra I she will be taking Sociology this summer.

We got this 6 weeks done quickly with minimal interruptions. Hannah babysits for a couple different families on a regular basis. We all got to attend Ginny’s elementary track meet. We made it to cousin Rhiley’s softball playoffs, cousin Audrey’s college graduation, and to Center Point to see Grandpa and Grandma for Mother’s Day. Hannah had spring training for volleyball three days a week and still led worship at church. Apparently I don’t see her as much anymore since it was slim pickings on photos for this post. 🙁
